Inspects technologically advanced bus stations, directs officials to ensure quality and timely execution
Lucknow | Additional Chief Secretary (Transport) Archana Agrawal on Friday visited the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) headquarters in Lucknow to review ongoing projects, technological systems, and passenger service operations.
During her inspection, Agrawal took stock of the central control room established at the headquarters and examined how bus locations, route tracking, and over-speeding alerts are monitored in real-time. She also reviewed the functioning of the SOS panic button system and the customer care centre, taking detailed feedback on the services being extended to commuters.
The Additional Chief Secretary was briefed on the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model-based modern bus stations, which are equipped with state-of-the-art passenger amenities. She directed officials to ensure that all ongoing projects adhere to strict timelines and quality standards.
Emphasizing continuous improvement, Agrawal instructed officers to enhance the efficiency, cleanliness, and punctuality of bus operations to provide a better travel experience for passengers. She also reviewed the status of major infrastructure and service-related projects, stressing the importance of completing them on schedule.
Discussions were also held on upcoming technological innovations planned by the Transport Corporation to improve fleet management and commuter convenience.

Reaffirming the government’s commitment to modernizing the state’s transport services, Agrawal said,
“The state government is dedicated to making Uttar Pradesh’s transport network modern, efficient, and passenger-friendly.”
Present during the inspection were Managing Director Prabhu N. Singh, Additional Managing Director Ram Singh Verma, Financial Controller Ajay Johri, and other senior departmental officials.
