Lucknow, 15 October 2025: Following its inauguration in Delhi at the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), the India Research Tour 2025, led by Springer Nature in partnership with the Ministry of Education and ICSSR, arrived in the capital city of Lucknow today. The tour engaged with faculty, students, and researchers at three leading institutions in the state: IIM Lucknow and Integral University.
The tour will cover 29 institutions across 15 cities in 7 states during its journey from 6 October to 13 November 2025, engaging with researchers, policymakers, and academia. The tour focuses on advancing Open Access and Open Science, strengthening research integrity, encouraging e-book adoption, supporting editorial board member recruitment, and promoting diversity and inclusion in research. By engaging directly with the academic and research community, the tour aims to create awareness, build collaborations, and inspire a stronger research ecosystem in Uttar Pradesh and India.

• Promoting Open Access (OA) and advancing awareness of One Nation, One Subscription (ONOS).
• Driving discussions on Research Integrity and the role of Artificial Intelligence in publishing.
• Highlighting diversity and inclusion through initiatives such as Her Research, Our Future and the Research Ambassador Program.
• Supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by democratizing knowledge and strengthening accessibility.
As part of Springer Nature’s Her Research Our Future initiative, 10 women researchers from both IIM Lucknow and Integral University were recognized for their commendable research work across various disciplines.
