New Delhi — The grandeur of Dussehra reached its peak at Delhi’s historic Red Fort grounds, as Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Nikhil Dwivedi joined the iconic Luv-Kush Ramleela stage to perform the symbolic Ravana Dahan, marking the triumph of good over evil.
Thousands of devotees and fans gathered to witness the dazzling spectacle organized by the Luv-Kush Ramleela Committee, led by President Arjun Kumar, who extended warm Dussehra greetings to people across the nation. The event blended faith, festivity, and film star power in an unforgettable celebration of Lord Ram’s victory over Ravana.
At the grand stage, Bobby Deol and Nikhil Dwivedi, accompanied by Arjun Kumar and other committee members, participated in the ritual by applying tilak to Lord Ram’s idol and seeking divine blessings before setting the massive effigies ablaze. The stars were honoured on stage with symbolic gifts — the mace of Lord Hanuman, an idol of Lord Ram, and ceremonial stoles — presented by the committee.
As chants of “Jai Shri Ram” echoed through the Red Fort grounds, the actors took aim with flaming arrows, igniting the towering effigies of Ravana, Kumbhkaran, and Meghnad, each measuring up to 100 feet in height. The thunderous explosion of fireworks and the spectacle of the burning effigies filled the night sky with colour, sound, and emotion, drawing awe from the thousands of devotees in attendance.
The day’s performances began with a Ganesh Vandana, followed by dramatic enactments of key episodes from the Ramayana — including Ravana’s worship of Lord Shiva, the fall of the Chandrahās sword, and the epic Ram-Ravana battle, culminating in Ravana’s defeat and Dahan.

The meticulous detailing of the effigies — from Ravana’s rotating eyes and blood-red tears to his moving sword and colourful garlands — captivated the audience. The 12-track digital surround sound system and pyrotechnic effects added to the immersive experience, making the event a spectacular blend of devotion and modern stagecraft.
After the ritual concluded, the committee extended heartfelt gratitude to all guests and dignitaries. Present on the occasion were General Secretary Subhash Goyal, Chairman Pawan Gupta, Senior Vice-President Satyabhushan Jain, Saurav Gupta, Dinesh Jain, Ravish Agrawal, Sandeep Bhutani, Praveen Goyal, Gaurav Suri, Treasurer Ankur Goyal, Leela Minister Praveen Singhal, Rajesh Verma, Devendra Chaudhary, Mansi Arora, Rajkumar Gupta, Veeru Sindhi, Lokesh Bansal, Ashok Kataria, Dinanath Sonkar, Madan Agrawal, Mukul Gupta, Shashikant Sharma, Nishant Gupta, Sunil Kumar, Sanjay Verma, and Rajkumar Kashyap, among others.
The evening concluded with a grand aarti and prayer ceremony dedicated to Lord Ram, symbolizing not just the victory of good over evil, but also the enduring power of faith and unity that continues to illuminate the spirit of Dussehra year after year.
