Lucknow — The Christ Church Cup Chess Tournament 2025 was successfully organized by the Old Christ Churchians’ Association (O.C.C.A.) at the Christ Church School campus, drawing enthusiastic participation from around 101 players across Lucknow and several other cities.
The tournament brought together chess enthusiasts from diverse age groups, creating an atmosphere of healthy competition, strategy, and camaraderie. Participants demonstrated remarkable skill and sportsmanship throughout the event, making it a memorable gathering for the Christ Church community and beyond.
As part of the ceremony, former Principal Rakesh Kumar Chattree was felicitated by members of the O.C.C.A. in recognition of his invaluable contribution to the institution and its students.

Those present from the O.C.C.A. included Gaurav Awasthi, Sharad Chaddha, Abhishek Swaroop, David Yung, Rupesh Sahu, Aparna Bhattacharya, Vishal Singh, Gurjeet Singh, Nayab R. Siddiqui, Jaideep Srivastava, and several others who came together to honour their respected mentor.
