Mission Shakti: Traffic Police Crack Down on Violations in Hazratganj and Atal Chowk

Lucknow : Under the ongoing Mission Shakti campaign, women traffic police personnel, in the presence of Traffic Inspector Uday Pratap Singh, carried out a special drive at the busy Hazratganj crossing. The operation targeted traffic violations including riding without helmets, triple riding, and vehicles fitted with black films speeding through the city center. Several offenders were issued challans on the spot.

A similar drive was conducted at Atal Chowk, where Inspector Uday Pratap Singh himself took charge, issuing challans against two-wheeler riders without helmets and vehicles with tinted windows.

The operation, jointly led by Traffic Inspector (Lines) Shailesh Pandey and Traffic Inspector Uday Pratap Singh, resulted in challans being issued against a total of 54 vehicles.

Alongside the enforcement, action was also taken against vehicles parked haphazardly along road corners. Owners were warned and instructed to avoid creating obstructions on key city intersections.

The traffic department stated that such drives will continue under Mission Shakti to ensure stricter enforcement of road safety norms and to promote discipline among commuters.
