Lucknow: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Omaxe Metro City, Lucknow, launched a large-scale plantation drive, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable urban development and environmental stewardship. As part of the initiative, the integrated township has pledged to plant 10,000 trees and saplings in a phased manner across its expansive 690-acre development.
The initiative has been envisioned as a long-term commitment towards enhancing the township’s green ecosystem, improving air quality, and fostering a healthier, more balanced living environment for residents and the larger community. The plantation drive saw active participation from residents, stakeholders, and the Omaxe team.
Speaking on the initiative, Mohit Goel, Managing Director, Omaxe Group, said, “At Omaxe, we believe that building townships is not only about creating physical infrastructure, but also about nurturing environments where communities can truly thrive. This plantation drive reflects our larger vision of responsible and future-ready urban development. As cities continue to expand, preserving ecological balance becomes equally important. Through this initiative, we are taking a conscious step towards creating greener, healthier, and more sustainable living spaces for residents. More importantly, our responsibility does not end with planting saplings; we are equally committed to ensuring their long-term care, growth, and preservation as part of the township’s evolving ecosystem.”

What sets the initiative apart is Omaxe Group’s focus not only on plantation but also on sustained care and maintenance of the saplings throughout their lifecycle. The company aims to ensure that the green cover develops into a thriving ecological asset for future generations.
With growing emphasis on responsible urbanisation, Omaxe Group continues to integrate sustainability-driven practices into its development philosophy, creating spaces that balance infrastructure growth with environmental consciousness.
