Lucknow: Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) has marked a historic milestone in its academic journey, earning accolades both globally and nationally for its outstanding research contributions. Fifteen faculty members have been featured in Stanford University’s prestigious list of the top 2% scientists worldwide, showcasing the university’s growing global research footprint. Bhadoria, Prof. Devesh Kumar, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh, Dr. Aditya Khanparia, Dr. Abhishek Verma, and Dr. Mukesh Kumar Awasthi and three others.Their inclusion reflects sustained excellence in publishing, citations, and global impact across diverse disciplines, reinforcing BBAU’s reputation as a hub of high-quality research.
In addition to this achievement, BBAU was conferred the Clarivate Indian Research Excellence – Citation Award 2025 in the Central University Category on September 18, 2025. This national honor recognizes institutions with exceptional citation performance and scholarly influence, placing BBAU among the top-performing universities in India.To further enrich its academic culture, BBAU has launched an Eminent Lecture Series across departments, inviting leading experts to share insights and foster interdisciplinary dialogue.
BBAU’s commitment to impactful research was reflected in its high NAAC accreditation score, particularly in the domain of research output. The university has also seen a notable increase in research project proposal submissions, submission of proposal for Post-Doctoral Fellowships and different other funding support applications, signaling a vibrant and engaged scholarly community.
In a strategic move to support innovation, Prof. R. K. Mittal, Vice Chancellor of BBAU has announced intramural grants for projects of societal relevance, encouraging faculty and students to address pressing community challenges through research that may contribute of mission Atmnirbhar Uttar Pradesh and Atmnirbhar Bharat. Guidelines of this scheme of intramural grants for projects are being finalized and shall be notified shortly. Furthermore, to felicitate research scholars in getting fellowships a detailed guideline for fellowships has also been notified.
