Lucknow: A Kavi Sammelan was organized under the ‘Hindi Pakhwada Utsav 2025’ by the Hindi Cell of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University. The program was presided over by Dr. Ashwini Kumar Singh, Registrar. Among the renowned poets who graced the stage were Vijay Tripathi and Ashok Agnipathi from Lucknow, A.K. Srivastava ‘Chakachaundh Gyanpuri’ and Poonam Srivastava from Banaras, Dr. Vinamra Sen Singh from Prayagraj and Dr. Subhash Chandra Rasiya from Mau. Dr. Baljeet Kumar Shrivastava,Assistant Director, Rajbhasha, BBAU and Program Coordinator was also present. The program began with floral tributes offered to the portrait of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar. This was followed by the felicitation of the distinguished guests on the dais with traditional shawls and mementos, as a token of gratitude from the organizing committee. At the beginning, Dr. Baljeet Kumar Srivastava welcomed all the dignitaries and participants, while also briefing them about the objectives and outline of the program.
The Kavi Sammelan created a vibrant and emotional atmosphere. Through their recitations, the poets voiced sentiments of patriotism, brought alive the sagas of India’s freedom struggle, and filled the audience with pride and enthusiasm. They also addressed pressing social issues such as inequality, caste-based discrimination, corruption, environmental protection, and the status of women, delivering a message of positive social change through their poetry. In addition, poems on timeless themes such as love, human values, and compassion deeply moved the audience. Throughout the program, Deans of various faculties, Heads of Departments, faculty members, officers, non-teaching staff, research scholars, and students were present in large numbers.
