Lucknow – The Lucknow Academy of Pediatrics, in association with Mankind Pharma, organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program on deworming at Clark Savant. The event brought together over 150 pediatricians and was streamed online, reaching more than 6,000 doctors across the country.
The CME focused on the multifaceted impact of worm infestations on children’s development, highlighting the effects on physical, mental, emotional, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental aspects.
Dr Shally Awasthi, Ex HOD Department of Pediatrics, KGMU, highlited the Hidden Nutritional Toll due to Pediatric Helminthic Infections.

Dr Shalini Bhasin, President , Lucknow Academy of Pediatrics, showed how these worms impacted Growth, Cognition & Behaviour. She also presented studies demonstrating the efficacy of deworming in reducing anemia, improving weight gain, and enhancing mental faculties in children. Also present were Dr Monjori Mitra from Kolkata.
