Lucknow – In a vibrant installation ceremony held on Saturday evening at Hotel Mercure, Gomti Nagar, Rotarian Purvi Mittal officially took over as the President of Rotary Club of Lucknow Trans-Gomti for the Rotary year 2025-26.
The event was graced by Kalyan Banerjee, former President of Rotary International, who served as the chief guest. In his address, Banerjee praised the club’s commitment to service, emphasizing Rotary’s impactful role globally and in India — particularly in polio eradication, blood donation drives, and support for the differently-abled.
Outgoing President Dr. Pankaj Mittal reflected on his two-year tenure, highlighting the club’s successful service projects and lauding the support of club members. “I have full confidence that under Purvi Mittal’s leadership, the club will reach new heights and set even higher standards of community service,” he said.

Club to Donate Mammography Machine
In her inaugural address, Purvi Mittal announced that the Rotary Club of Lucknow Trans-Gomti would donate a mammography machine to Lok Bandhu Hospital this month. The initiative aims to support early breast cancer detection and screening, strengthening public healthcare in the region.
Dr. Sangeeta Gupta, Director of Lok Bandhu Hospital, welcomed the gesture, calling it a “critical step in saving lives through timely diagnosis.” Also present at the event were Rotarian Praveen Mittal, Rotarian Sangeeta Mittal, and other distinguished guests and members.
The ceremony concluded on a note of optimism, with the Rotary Club reaffirming its dedication to community service, healthcare advancement, and social welfare.
