Prayagraj: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Joint Executive Officer (JEO) for health and education, Goutami, has urged the concerned authorities to develop meticulous plans for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela. Scheduled to take place in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, from January 13 to February 26, 2025, the event is expected to draw millions of devotees from across the country.
During a review meeting at the TTD administrative office in Tirupati on Tuesday evening, Goutami discussed preparations with officials from various departments. The plans include arrangements for a model temple of Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy, intended to offer Northern devotees an immersive spiritual experience of the Seven Hills deity.
The JEO emphasized that the temple, set to be constructed on a 2.5-acre plot, should feature floral decorations and dynamic electrical lighting to enhance its aesthetic appeal. Additionally, religious rituals like Srivari Kalyanotsavam and Chakra Snanam are to be conducted in a manner that captivates the participating devotees.
To ensure seamless operations, representatives from multiple TTD departments have been instructed to collaborate regularly. The authorities have also been directed to organize dharmic programs, bhajans, and live broadcasts by SVBC on specific days during the Maha Kumbh Mela.
Security will be a top priority, with TTD’s vigilance personnel coordinating with the Uttar Pradesh Police to establish robust safety protocols.
The meeting saw participation from several key figures, including DPP program officer Rajagopal, HDPP secretary Raghunath, and principal priest Venugopala Deekshitulu, among others.
