Pensioners meet Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak with crucial demands

Lucknow: A delegation of EPS-95 National Struggle Committee, which included pensioners from many departments like Roadways, SFC, UPTRON, HAL, ITI and private sector, met Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak at his residence.

National Secretary Rajiv Bhatnagar and Provincial Secretary Rajshekhar Nagar said that the Deputy Chief Minister was demanded to benefit the employees and pensioners of public corporations and private sector by improving the EPS-95 pension like UPS.

Like government pensioners, EPS-95 pensioners should also be given the benefit of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya cashless medical facility and the pending arrears of many installments of sixth pay scale and dearness allowance in many corporations of the state should be paid immediately because the pension of EPS-95 pensioners is so low that due to financial constraints, they can neither get proper treatment nor live their life with respect.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that efforts will be made to take a decision soon after considering the demands of the pensioners. The government is positive towards the demands of the elderly. The delegation included Organization Minister PK Shrivastava, Joint Minister RN Dwivedi, Treasurer Dilip Pandey, Chief Media Incharge Subhash Choubey, Divisional Secretary Ashok Bajpai, SK Tyagi and GK Bahl etc.
