Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2025: A Grand Spectacle

New Delhi: The third edition of the Yonex-Sunrise India Open BWF World Tour Super 750 is set to take place from January 14–19, 2025, at the KD Jadhav Indoor Hall, Indira Gandhi Stadium, New Delhi. With a USD 950,000 prize fund and 11,000 ranking points for winners, the event promises world-class badminton action.

India will field its largest contingent ever, with 21 entries, including prominent names like PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, HS Prannoy, and the dynamic men’s doubles duo, Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy. This Super 750 tournament showcases Indian badminton’s growing stature, bolstered by past successes, such as Prannoy’s semifinal finish and Chirag-Satwik’s men’s doubles finals appearance in 2024.

Top international stars, including Olympic champions Viktor Axelsen and An Se Young, and world No. 1 Shi Yuqi, headline the event. With participation from 14 of the top 20 women’s singles players and intense doubles competition, the Yonex-Sunrise India Open exemplifies badminton’s thrilling evolution.
