Yogi Adityanath to Release Former President Ram Nath Kovind’s Autobiography in Lucknow

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will release the autobiography of former President Ram Nath Kovind, titled Bharatiya Ganatantra Ki Vijaygatha: Mera Jeevan, Mera Sangharsh, at a ceremony scheduled for October 14 at the Lok Bhavan auditorium in Lucknow.

Kovind will attend the event, which will also be attended by Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana and Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, along with other dignitaries. The book has been published by Rupa Publications India.

The autobiography offers insights into Kovind’s five-year tenure as President, including significant constitutional decisions, the COVID-19 pandemic, Centre-state relations, international diplomacy and his responsibilities as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. It also reflects on India’s democratic institutions and constitutional values.

Born in Paraunkh village in Uttar Pradesh, Kovind’s journey from a modest rural background to the country’s highest constitutional office forms a central theme of the book.

He was sworn in as India’s 14th President on July 25, 2017, after serving as Governor of Bihar. Earlier, he represented Uttar Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha for two consecutive terms between 1994 and 2006 and practised law, including serving as an advocate for the Central Government at the Delhi High Court from 1977 to 1979.

The autobiography seeks to present both his personal struggles and his experiences in public service, offering readers a perspective on the functioning of India’s constitutional and democratic framework.
