Workers’ Dialogue Programme organized on International Labour Day

Lucknow: On the occasion of International Workers’ Day, a Workers’ Dialogue Programme was organized in Lucknow to promote awareness about labour rights and welfare. The event was held in compliance with the action plan for 2026–27 of the Uttar Pradesh State Legal Services Authority.

The programme was jointly conducted by the District Legal Services Authority Lucknow and Vigyan Foundation at Ashray Grih, Paltan Chhawani, near Tadi Khana Crossing in Lucknow. It was chaired by Kunwar Mitresh Singh Kushwaha, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, Lucknow.

The event witnessed the participation of Sharad Kumar Yadav, along with members of Vigyan Foundation and several workers.

Addressing the gathering, Secretary Kushwaha extended greetings to all workers on International Labour Day and highlighted their indispensable role in nation-building. He stated that workers, from agricultural fields to large industries, and from local streets to national highways, form the backbone of the country’s development.

He also sensitized the workers about their legal rights and entitlements, emphasizing the importance of awareness in ensuring justice and dignity at the workplace. Additionally, detailed information was shared about the upcoming National Lok Adalat May 2026 scheduled for May 9, 2026, encouraging workers to utilize the platform for resolving disputes efficiently.

The programme concluded with an interactive session, reinforcing the commitment to empower workers through legal awareness and support mechanisms.
