Lucknow: Lucknow’s Krishna Nagar police have arrested three notorious criminals as part of their ongoing crime control and checking operations. The arrested individuals were found in possession of a pistol, a revolver, a country-made firearm, eight live cartridges, and a Hyundai i-20 vehicle (registration number UP 32 KE 7172).
Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted a suspicious four-wheeler near Lokbandhu Chauraha, Krishna Nagar, and detained three individuals. During interrogation, the accused confessed that they had come to Lucknow with the intent to kidnap businessman Manish Agarwal and extort ₹42 lakh from him. It was also revealed that one of the accused, Imran Ahmed, had already received an advance payment of ₹10,000 in his Bank of Baroda account for the crime.

- Imran Ahmed (37 years), resident of Salar Ganj, Dargah Sharif, Bahraich; employed at a meat shop.
- Niyaz (23 years), resident of Gangwara, Deva Sharif, Barabanki; works as a fruit vendor.
- Raju (43 years), resident of Kukrail Nala, Abrar Nagar, Indiranagar, Lucknow; originally from Chandoona village, Mohammadpur, Barabanki.
Crime Planning and Arrest
The arrested criminals had conducted reconnaissance on businessman Manish Agarwal multiple times. On February 28, they once again followed his MG Hector car while fully armed, preparing to execute the kidnapping. However, due to swift action by the police, their plan was foiled, and they were taken into custody.
