Mumbai | The excitement for the upcoming T20 Mumbai League Season 4 and the inaugural T20 Mumbai Women’s League intensified as the official Trophy Tour kicked off across Mumbai, setting the tone for what promises to be a grand cricketing spectacle at Wankhede Stadium from June 1 to June 13.
As the trophies made their way through the city, cricket fever gripped fans across neighbourhoods, with enthusiastic crowds gathering to catch a glimpse, click photographs, and celebrate the build-up to Mumbai’s biggest domestic cricket carnival.
Citywide Celebrations on Day One
The opening leg of the tour covered several prominent locations in South Mumbai, including Worli Sea Face, Worli Sports Club, and Lalbaug’s Garamkhada Maidan. Each stop witnessed strong fan participation, with supporters turning up in large numbers to welcome the trophies and be part of the celebrations.
A Fan-First Initiative Across Mumbai
Conceptualised as a citywide engagement drive, the two-week Trophy Tour aims to take the excitement beyond stadium boundaries and directly into Mumbai’s cricket-loving communities.
The tour will travel across key areas including Dadar, Churchgate, Chembur, Bandra, Virar, Navi Mumbai, and Thane, ensuring widespread reach across the city and its neighbouring regions.
Alongside the trophy showcase, the initiative will include fan interaction zones, community outreach activities, and on-ground engagement programmes designed to bring supporters closer to the upcoming tournaments.
Adding to the entertainment, the league mascot “Bouncer Bhau” will also accompany the tour, interacting with fans and adding a lively touch to the celebrations.

Leadership Highlights Growing Cricket Ecosystem
MCA President Ajinkya Naik said the Trophy Tour reflects the association’s continued effort to strengthen Mumbai’s cricket structure while expanding opportunities for players and fans alike. He noted that the addition of the women’s league marks an important step toward a more inclusive cricketing platform in the region.
League Governing Council Chairman Rajdip Gupta added that the strong fan response on Day One highlights the deep connection between the league and Mumbai’s cricket supporters. He said the tour will help build momentum as the city moves towards another exciting season.
Star Power and Emerging Talent on Display
The upcoming Season 4 of the T20 Mumbai League will feature some of Indian cricket’s biggest names, including Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shivam Dube, Shardul Thakur, Sarfaraz Khan, and Tushar Deshpande.
Meanwhile, the inaugural women’s competition will spotlight rising and established talents such as Sayali Satghare, Humairaa Kaazi, and Saima Thakor, offering a significant platform for women cricketers from Mumbai.
With the Trophy Tour now underway, anticipation continues to build for what is set to be a high-energy, citywide cricket celebration at Wankhede Stadium next month.
