Swami Prasad Maurya all set for the solo act

Lucknow: Former UP minister  Swami Prasad Maurya, who recently resigned from SP and formed a new party, has jumped into the election fray alone. Recently there were discussions that Swami Prasad Maurya will contest the elections in alliance with India Alliance. But his talks could not work out with the India Alliance.

Now Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party President Swami Prasad Maurya has announced to contest the elections alone on two Lok Sabha seats of the state. During the Lok Sabha elections, Swami Prasad Maurya himself will contest from Kushinagar seat of Uttar Pradesh, while he has made SN Chauhan his candidate for Deoria Lok Sabha seat.

Swami Prasad Maurya has already contested elections on BSP ticket in Kushinagar. Although he could not win at that time, he is considered to have a strong hold in this area.

He has also talked about fielding his candidates on some other seats in the state. Sources say that he can contest elections on five Lok Sabha seats.
