Rohilkhand University Achieves Outstanding Performance in THE Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026

Bareilly: Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University (MJPRU), Bareilly, has earned significant recognition in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Rankings 2026, released from the United Kingdom. Demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development, the university recorded participation across all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and secured a place in the 801–1000 global ranking band among 1,603 higher education institutions worldwide, with an overall score of 54.9 out of 100.

The achievement is particularly noteworthy as MJPRU emerged as the highest-ranked state university in Uttar Pradesh and secured the 67th position nationally, bringing pride to the university community and the state.

Strong Performance Across Sustainable Development Goals

The rankings reflect the university’s sustained efforts in promoting quality education, social inclusion, environmental sustainability, research excellence, and community engagement.

Among the individual SDG categories, the university achieved impressive results:

Vice-Chancellor Hails Collective Achievement

Expressing satisfaction over the accomplishment, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. P. Singh said the university’s participation across all 17 SDGs and its global recognition are the result of the dedication, research excellence, and social commitment of the entire university community.

“This achievement reflects our collective efforts in education, research, innovation, and community development. It will inspire us to work even more effectively toward sustainable development and global academic excellence,” he said.

Prof. Singh credited the success to the combined contributions of faculty members, researchers, officers, staff, and students. He also acknowledged the continued guidance and support received from Raj Bhavan, Lucknow, and expressed gratitude to the Governor of Uttar Pradesh for encouraging institutions to actively contribute toward sustainable development goals.
