Varanasi: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Sunday, said that in the last 10 years, Kashi has seen projects worth Rs 44,000 crore being approved. Out of these, projects worth Rs 34,000 crore have already been completed, and work is ongoing on projects worth over Rs 10,000 crore. Just ahead of Diwali, the people of Kashi are receiving a gift of new projects worth Rs 3,200 crore.
The Chief Minister was addressing the inauguration-foundation stone laying program organized in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Varanasi. He said, “It is fortunate that as the leader of the new India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi represents the country from Kashi in Uttar Pradesh. The whole country and the world are watching Kashi transform in 10 years in a new form while also preserving its spiritual and cultural heritage.”
CM Yogi welcomed the Prime Minister by draping a shawl on him and presenting a memento. He highlighted that alongside infrastructure development, new employment opportunities have been created. At the same time, health, education, and other essential schemes aimed at improving the lives of common citizens have also been implemented in innovative ways.
The Chief Minister stated that over the past decade, India has undergone a remarkable transformation, with the vision of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat taking shape. “In the last 10 years, we have witnessed India setting new benchmarks of development in every sector. From road and air connectivity to waterways, railways, metros, and rapid rail, modern infrastructure is being established across the country,” he said.
Ahead of Diwali, Kashi, Uttar Pradesh, and the nation are receiving a grand gift worth more than Rs 6,700 crore from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The projects include both laying of foundation stone for the new terminal building at Kashi Airport and Agra’s new airport as well as inauguration of Sarsawa Airport in Saharanpur.
CM Yogi extended his gratitude to the Prime Minister on behalf of the residents of Kashi, Agra, and Saharanpur for these major initiatives. He also congratulated Haryana on its recent victory, acknowledging the PM’s role in these historic developments.
