The Resonance of ‘Bijuka Returns’ Series Deeply Touches the Soul: Ramesh Kandgiri

Lucknow: The solo exhibition of selected paintings from various series by renowned artist Avadhesh Mishra came to a grand conclusion in Lucknow. Organized by Kala Digharā, an international visual arts magazine, in collaboration with The Centrum, Lucknow, the exhibition showcased a collection of Mishra’s finest works, offering art enthusiasts a vivid glimpse into his artistic journey.

Padma Shri Acharya Advait Gananayak, former Director General of the National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi, graced the event as the chief guest. He praised Avadhesh Mishra’s masterful use of colors, stating, “Avadhesh is known for his vibrant play of colors. He creates forms effortlessly through his brushstrokes, and his compositions captivate art lovers with their harmonious balance. This exhibition is a lively document of nature, rural life, and Avadhesh’s artistic journey.”

Acharya Ramesh Kandgiri, from the College of Art & Craft, New Delhi, remarked that Mishra’s paintings evoke a deep emotional resonance. “The resonance of his works touches the innermost chords of the soul, offering both solace and introspection. His paintings compel viewers to look within and reflect on their own journey. This exhibition will remain unforgettable for art lovers, who will eagerly await his next series.”

The closing ceremony at The Centrum Art Gallery, Shaheed Path, Lucknow, saw the presence of many art lovers and artists. Among them were noted author Amal Mishra, whose books Uttar Pradesh: Kal, Aaj aur Kal and Dekhna Avakash were recently published. Exhibition coordinators Dr. Anita Verma and Sumit Kumar, along with Mandeep Verma, Dinesh Tiwari, and Vinita Nigam, were also in attendance.

Dr. Leena Mishra, the exhibition coordinator, announced that the exhibition would soon travel to Gurukul Kala Veethika in Kanpur, allowing art lovers there to witness Avadhesh Mishra’s remarkable work.

The event served as a testament to Avadhesh Mishra’s artistic legacy, reinforcing his stature as an artist and mentor whose students continue to carry forward his artistic tradition in the world of fine arts.
