Patanjali Food and Herbal Park Inaugurated in Nagpur, A Boon for Farmers

Nagpur: Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the Patanjali Food and Herbal Park in Nagpur. The park is expected to be highly beneficial for farmers in the Vidarbha region, especially orange growers. CM Fadnavis stated that the park would facilitate the processing and marketing of oranges, ensuring proper grading and storage facilities.

A Boon for Orange Farmers

During the event, CM Fadnavis highlighted that Patanjali had laid the foundation for this project in MIHAN (Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur) nine years ago. Due to the state government’s transparent tender process and commitment, the project has now come to fruition. The required raw materials for this project will be sourced directly from orange-producing farmers.

The initiative will assist farmers in selling their produce efficiently. The park will focus on orange processing, and the state government has pledged full support for its success. Additionally, both Patanjali and the state government will collaborate to establish a well-equipped nursery to enhance the production of high-quality orange plants.

The facility will also feature state-of-the-art cold storage, further benefiting farmers. CM Fadnavis assured that the state government would extend every possible assistance to ensure the project’s success. He reiterated that Patanjali and the government would work together to set up a modern nursery equipped with all necessary facilities to produce superior-quality orange saplings.

800 Tons of Oranges Required Daily

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari emphasized that the Patanjali Food and Herbal Park in MIHAN would require approximately 800 tons of oranges daily. This will provide a ready market for orange farmers, ensuring better returns for their produce. He also noted that the project would generate employment opportunities for local residents and would receive strong support from farmers.

Gadkari further stated that this initiative would significantly improve the prosperity of farmers. He urged the state government to establish a modern nursery for producing high-quality orange seeds and saplings.

The event was attended by Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev, Patanjali Ayurved Limited Managing Director Acharya Balkrishna, Minister of State for Agriculture Advocate Ashish Jalaswal, MLA Dr. Ashish Deshmukh, MLA Sameer Meghe, and other dignitaries.
