Lucknow: In a significant operation, the East Thana Chinhat police have arrested a notorious vehicle thief and recovered a stolen motorcycle. The accused, identified as Kunal Kashyap, son of the late Rajkumar Kashyap, resides at 200 Jiyamau, near Vishwa Sambandh Kendra, Gautampalli, Lucknow. He is approximately 19 years old and has a criminal history.
Incident Details: On October 7, 2024, at approximately 1:30 PM, Kunal Kashyap was apprehended while traveling from Laulai towards Kisan Path. He was found in possession of the stolen motorcycle, registration number UP 41DW 5949, belonging to the plaintiff. The motorcycle was reported stolen under FIR No. 479-2034, registered at the local police station under Section 301(2) of the IPC.
Following the recovery, additional evidence led to the inclusion of Section 317(2) in the case on the same day. The police are further investigating the circumstances surrounding the theft.

Arresting Team: The operation was led by Inspector Shubham Tiwari and Inspector Ankush Kumar from Kotwali Chinhat, along with Constable Ramapal Jaiswal and Bittu.
