Nobelre Society Organizes Blood Donation Camp on World Blood Donor Day

Lucknow: Marking World Blood Donor Day, Nobelre Society, in collaboration with Bharat Rakt Seva Manch, organized a voluntary blood donation camp at the Blood Bank of King George’s Medical University (KGMU) on Saturday. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens and members of various social organizations, highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives.

The camp commenced at 10 a.m., and the number of donors steadily increased throughout the day. Participants came forward in large numbers to donate blood, demonstrating a strong commitment to supporting patients in need of life-saving transfusions.

A notable feature of the event was the enthusiastic participation of police personnel associated with Bharat Rakt Seva Manch. Despite completing their official duties, several officers and staff members donated blood, reflecting their dedication to humanitarian service beyond their professional responsibilities.

Speaking on the occasion, Minaj Sugra, Patron of Nobelre Society, said that blood is continuously required at KGMU for the treatment of patients undergoing surgeries, emergency medical care, accident treatment, and management of serious illnesses. Keeping this critical need in mind, the organization decided to conduct the blood donation drive at the university’s blood bank.

She emphasized that a single unit of donated blood can help save multiple lives and encouraged more people, especially young citizens, to become regular voluntary blood donors.

The event was supported by members of Nobelre Society, including Sahil, Shubham, Moni, Roli, Pritpal, and Taranjit. Representatives of Bharat Rakt Seva Manch, including Mohammad Ahad, Poornima Gautam, and Bhupendra, were also present and actively participated in the campaign. Also present at the occasion was Amit Chawla.

Organizers reported that a total of 19 units of blood were collected during the camp. They described the event as a successful effort toward strengthening blood reserves and promoting awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation.

The organizers expressed gratitude to all donors and volunteers who contributed to the initiative and reiterated their commitment to conducting similar humanitarian activities in the future to support healthcare services and community welfare.
