Mudassar Aziz Calls Ayushmann Khurrana the Nation’s Favourite ‘Good Man in a Situation’ Ahead of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do Trailer

Mumbai: As anticipation builds for the trailer release of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, director Mudassar Aziz is gearing up to deliver yet another entertainer packed with humour and relatable storytelling. Known for his sharp wit and flair for situational comedy, Aziz returns with a vibrant multi-starrer featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh.

Describing his collaboration with Ayushmann Khurrana, Aziz referred to the actor as the nation’s favourite “good man in a situation,” highlighting his consistent appeal in roles rooted in everyday dilemmas. “His excellence has shone through his work over the past decade in this genre. This time, audiences will see a character who not only finds himself in a situation but also becomes the solution to it,” the director said, adding that the character of Prajapati Pandey fits Khurrana’s effortless screen persona.

Speaking about the film’s narrative, Aziz emphasized that Pati Patni Aur Woh Do retains the essence of its comedic roots while offering a fresh, contemporary twist. He noted that managing multiple character arcs in a situational comedy requires a strong screenplay that prioritizes storytelling over standalone gags.

“Holding together multiple arcs means placing characters in engaging situations rather than relying solely on jokes. I’ve been fortunate to work with six to seven fantastic actors whose comic timing enhances the film as much as the writing does,” he added.

Blending slice-of-life storytelling with classic desi humour, the film promises a mix of confusion, chaos, and laugh-out-loud moments drawn from everyday relationships. With its ensemble cast and quirky characters, the film aims to strike a balance between nostalgia and modern sensibilities, making it a wholesome family entertainer.

Presented by T-Series and B R Studios, the film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Renu Ravi Chopra, and Krishan Kumar, with creative production by Juno Chopra.

Pati Patni Aur Woh Do is slated for a theatrical release on May 15, 2026, promising audiences a rollercoaster of emotions and entertainment.
