New Delhi: As Delhi anxiously awaited the outcome of the 2025 Assembly election, the city took notice of a young AAP supporter and Arvind Kejriwal fan popular as Mini Kejriwal. On the morning of February 8, Avyan Tomar, whom the media dubbed “Mini Kejriwal,” showed his support for the party leader by visiting the former Delhi Chief Minister’s residence.
A widely circulated viral video on X showed the child dressed as a “mini version” of the politician. He was spotted wearing a false mustache, glasses, a puffer jacket, and a blue sweater, closely resembling Kejriwal’s signature look.
Mini Kejriwal: “Baby Muffler Man” Cheered for AAP
“On days with results, we always come here,” said Avyan Tomar’s father. According to news agency ANI, the party had also given him the nickname “Baby Muffler Man.”
Not His First Appearance as ‘Mini Kejriwal’
This was not the first time Avyan dressed as Kejriwal. During the 2020 Delhi Assembly election results, the child had been seen cheering for the AAP leader outside his residence. In keeping with Kejriwal’s signature style, he had worn a red sweater, a black muffler, glasses, and a false mustache. His parents, Rahul and Meenakshi Tomar, are ardent AAP supporters.
Delhi’s Pivotal Election Day
The results of the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, which began at 8:00 AM, became one of the year’s most significant political events. On February 5, more than 1.5 crore eligible voters had cast their votes in a single session, determining the fate of several candidates.
After winning the elections in 2015 and 2020, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was contesting for a third consecutive term. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) aimed to install a Chief Minister in the national capital for the first time in 27 years.
Beyond the bitter campaigns and shrill rhetoric it is these sights and sounds in democracy that are worth fighting for.
