Lucknow: Lucknow Metro organized a free Diagnostic Health Camp today for ‘Safai Mitras’ (Housekeeping Staff) at 4 Metro stations – Munshipuliya, Vishvavidyalaya, Sachivalaya and Alambagh in which over 180 Housekeeping staff availed the benefits of the camp as part of the ongoing ‘Swachhata hi Seva’ Pakhwada.
Lucknow Metro is observing the ‘Swachhta Hi Seva Pakhwada’ which is being observed from 17th Sept to 2nd October,2024 and has been actively organizing multiple activities to celebrate the contributions of the Cleanliness workers and general public in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene all around.
Earlier, Lucknow Metro organized a Fun Musical Chair competition for the Housekeeping Staff where over 100 staff members participated and had a day to themselves.
A special awareness session by the Assistant Labour Commisioner was also organized for the Housekeeping Staff where they were apprised about the various Welfare schemes for the low-income group.
A drawing competition was also organized in the moving Metro Train for the underprivileged children of an NGO on the theme ‘Swachhta hi Seva’.
UPMRC is also generating public awareness of cleanliness through continuous social media posts.
UPMRC employees are also actively participating in the campaign by deep cleaning of all Metro Stations, Offices and work stations at all projects including Lucknow, Kanpur and Agra Metro.
