Lucknow: Mother Seva Sansthan, known for its work in social service and public welfare, is preparing to launch a new initiative aimed at identifying and promoting talented artists from rural areas. The initiative seeks to provide a wider platform to folk artists and traditional performers who often struggle to gain recognition due to a lack of resources, guidance and opportunities.
The proposed unit will focus on discovering, nurturing and promoting rural talent across various art forms, including folk dance, traditional singing, handicrafts and painting. Through this effort, the organisation aims to help artists showcase their skills and gain recognition at national and international levels.

According to the organisation’s secretary, the name Gramshree Natya Manch is being considered for the new unit. Its official name is expected to be announced soon.
Beyond promoting cultural expression, the initiative also aims to support the economic empowerment and self-reliance of rural artists by creating opportunities for them to showcase and develop their work.

The initiative is expected to contribute to preserving rural traditions and giving them renewed relevance in the modern era. It will seek to bridge the gap between traditional talent and wider recognition, enabling artists to sustain their cultural practices while exploring new opportunities.
The proposed launch has generated enthusiasm among rural artists, who are looking forward to the formal announcement and the opportunities the new platform may bring.
