Prayagraj: Northern Railway DRM SM Sharma along with a team of officers reached Prayag and reviewed the preparations for the Kumbh Mela. He inspected Prayag station and inquired about the progress of the work. DRM instructed to make better arrangements for the smooth operation of the upcoming Kumbh Mela and for the visiting railway passengers and devotees.
On the other hand, he also reviewed the progress of all the development works going on at the stations falling under the purview of Northern Railway, Lucknow Division in Prayag area.
Divisional Railway Manager SM Sharma, in his inspection, first reached the work site of mega block box pushing of Level Crossing 77 of Prayag and reviewed the box pushing work. After this, he inspected all the construction works and railway tracks including the station building and foot over bridge under construction at Prayag station. DRM also inspected Special Crossing No. 76 along with officers.
Meanwhile, DRM SM Sharma met IG Ambika Nath Mishra of Railway Protection Force. Divisional Railway Manager also discussed with him about the security of railway property in the division. DRM inspected the safety of the track by doing window trailing between Phaphamau and Phulpur. He also saw the work of rail doubling completed some time back at Ugrasenpur station. During this inspection, Divisional Railway Manager established communication with media persons in a press conference held at Prayag Junction. Additional Divisional Railway Manager Sachin Verma and many department heads and other officers and railway personnel were present in this inspection program.
