Lucknow: Lucknow Metro is actively participating by organizing series of events in ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ mission celebrated between 17th Sept to 2nd October, 2024. Lucknow Metro recently organized musical chair for Safai Mitras at Sachivalaya Metro station. Cleanliness warriors of all 21 Metro Stations actively participated in the game.
UPMRC also organized an awareness session for cleanliness staff. The event was felicitated by Assistant Labour Commissioner Shipra Chaturvedi at Sachivalaya Metro Station. Safai Mitras were briefed about the labour laws, government policies, and other schemes beneficial to cleanliness staff. ALC introduced imperative government schemes like Ayushman Bharat Yojana and accidental insurance cover to the mitras.
Earlier, UPMRC also organized Drawing competition for underprivileged children of NGOs in the moving train to create awareness about Swachhata hi seva Mission. Lucknow metro has been active in promoting the central government initiative of Swachhata hi seva Mission through social media handles like Facebook, Instagram, X, etc. UPMRC employees joined Swachhta Hi Seva campaign by cleaning all the Metro Stations, offices and Metro Depot. UPMRC will organize many events till 2nd October to motivate people for joining this campaign.
