Houthi rebel attacks irk Netanyahu

Houthi rebel attacks

Tehran: A missile fired by Iran-backed Houthi rebels occupying the northern part of Yemen reached the central part of Israel for the first time. This missile has come inside Israel after covering a distance of more than 2,000 kilometers. There is no report of any damage from this missile.

Amid the ongoing war in Gaza, the Houthis tried to attack Israel several times, but for the first time their missile reached the central part of Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the Houthi rebels may have to pay a heavy price for this audacity.

The missile reached 2024 KM in 11 minutes

Houthi spokesperson Yahya Sariya has said that the organization has built a new hypersonic missile which covered a distance of 2,040 kilometers in just 11 minutes 30 seconds. The distance mentioned by the spokesperson raises suspicion that the Houthis had fired the missile towards Israel from a place outside Yemen’s land border. The hypersonic missile travels to the target at a speed of six to twelve thousand kilometers per hour.

Missile fragments found near railway station

As soon as the missile came in the Israeli sky, there was chaos in Israel and the alert sirens started ringing, people ran and hid in underground hideouts. Pieces of Houthi’s missile have been found in an open space near the railway station in central Israel. The army estimates that the missile exploded in the sky itself.

There is also a possibility that the missile of the Israeli Defense System destroyed it. There has been no loss of life or property due to the fragments of the missile. Nasruddin Amer, deputy head of the Houthi public relations office, has said that Israel fired 20 missiles to stop their hypersonic missile but they failed.

Houthis also attacked Tel Aviv

Earlier, Houthis had carried out a drone attack on Tel Aviv in July. One Israeli civilian was killed and four were injured in that attack. In response, Israeli fighter jets bombed near Hodeida port in Yemen in which six people were killed and 80 were injured. The Israeli army has said that 40 rockets and missiles were also fired at Israel from Lebanon on Sunday but they caused no damage.
