Gonda: In a ceremony held at the Collectorate Auditorium, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan felicitated enumerators, supervisors, Block Education Officers, Charge Officers, and Sub-Divisional Magistrates who achieved 100 percent targets and demonstrated exceptional performance in census-related activities.
During the programme, the District Magistrate presented certificates of appreciation and symbolic cheques to officials and employees in recognition of their significant contribution to the successful completion of census work. She praised the dedication and commitment of the personnel, emphasizing the vital role census data plays in shaping development policies and welfare programmes.
Addressing the gathering, Niranjan said that the census serves as the foundation for planning and governance in any country or state. Accurate census data helps governments formulate policies, allocate resources efficiently, and implement public welfare schemes effectively. She stressed that census operations must be carried out with utmost sincerity, transparency, and responsibility to ensure reliable and comprehensive data collection.
The District Magistrate noted that the collective efforts, hard work, and sense of duty displayed by the officials and field staff enabled the district to achieve its targets within the stipulated timeframe.
