Divisional Industries Committee Meets to Discuss Textile Park and Infrastructure Development

Bareilly: A meeting of the Divisional Industries Committee was held at the Commissioner’s office under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Shambhu Kumar.

Sant Kabir Textile Park Development

During the meeting, officials provided updates on the Sant Kabir Textile and Apparel Park Scheme-2025. The Assistant Commissioner of Handlooms and Textile Industries informed that five textile parks are currently under development across Uttar Pradesh under this scheme, with one being established in Bahedi, Bareilly.

The Sant Kabir Textile Park is being developed on the premises of the old spinning mill at Bahedi, located five kilometers from Bahedi on the Saidpur Khurda Nankpuri Tanda route. The park spans 79.80 acres.

Land transfer and registration have been completed by the Cooperative Spinning Mills Federation in favor of the Handlooms Department. Applications from entrepreneurs interested in establishing industries at the textile park are being collected through Google forms. To date, more than 25 units have submitted applications.

Attractive Incentives for Industries

Industries establishing operations at the textile park will benefit from multiple incentive schemes. In addition to facilities provided under the Textile Park scheme, units will also receive benefits under the UP Textile Policy-2022, including 25 percent subsidy on machinery and 60 percent interest reimbursement for seven years.

Additionally, industries will receive 25 percent subsidy on land costs and 100 percent exemption on stamp duty.

Zero Point Chauraha Flyover Project

The meeting also discussed the construction of an elevated road/flyover at the Zero Point Chauraha intersection in Bareilly to address industrialization and traffic concerns. Officials from NHAI (National Highways Authority of India), Moradabad, informed the committee that construction of a flyover at the Zero Point Jhumka intersection on National Highway 30 (Moradabad-Bareilly section) has been proposed. Tender documents for the project were opened on August 11, 2026.

NHAI also undertook short-term safety improvements at the Zero Point Jhumka intersection to reduce accidents, including installation of signage boards, speed breakers, slow-moving boards, hazard boards, chevron boards, solar blinkers, and road markings.

NH-30 to FCI Warehouse Road Project

Public Works Department officials updated the committee that the road from NH-30 through Sathrapur to the FCI warehouse has been proposed under the Logistics scheme for the 2026-27 financial year. The project includes drainage system construction with provision for channel creation. Work will commence as soon as approval is received.

The meeting was attended by Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Kumar Maurya, Divisional Forest Officer Diksha Bhandari, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Santosh Kumar Singh, Joint Commissioner Industries Shrinath Paswan, and RM UPCDA Mansoor Katiyar, along with other concerned officials and entrepreneurs.
