Ayodhya: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be on Ayodhya tour. CM Yogi will inaugurate the four-day Ramayana Mela starting today in Ramnagari. This fair will be held from 5 to 8 December at Ramkatha Park located on the banks of Saryu, where a wonderful confluence of song, music and spirituality will be seen.
CM’s program
CM Yogi Adityanath will land at the helipad located near Ramkatha Park at 10:55 am today. At 11 o’clock he will inaugurate the Ramayana Mela. After this he will stay in Ayodhya for about two hours. During this time he will also visit Hanumangarhi and Ramlala’s court. There is also a possibility of CM to see the progress of Ram temple construction and attend the marriage festival going on in Janaki Mahal Trust. At 12 noon, CM will visit Hanumangarhi and then at 12:20 pm will attend Ramlala’s court. After this he will take stock of the construction work of Ram temple. At 12:45 pm CM will reach Maharishi Valmiki Airport and leave for Mumbai.
Importance of Ramayana Mela
The Ramayana Mela, which started in 1982, is held every year in Ayodhya. It was started with the vision of eminent socialist thinker Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia. This fair was organized first in Chitrakoot and then in Ayodhya. The fair was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister Shripati Mishra, and since then various cultural programs have been organized by the Culture Department.
Details of programs
Religious, cultural and traditional programs are organized in Ramayana Mela. This year too, Ramkatha, discourses, bhajans, Ramlila, folk songs, dance dramas and other cultural programs will be presented for four days. More than 20 artists from different districts will showcase their art under the Culture Department. Ashish Mishra, convener of Ramayana Mela Committee, said that this time too, a wonderful confluence of Indian culture and traditions will be seen in Ramayana Mela.
