Lucknow: The Rajsheel Mahila Kalyan Samiti organized the “Star of Lucknow 2025” event at the Buddha Research Institute in Gomti Nagar, under the leadership of social activist Richa Singh. The event saw remarkable participation from talented children across Lucknow, showcasing their skills in various categories.
Inauguration and Honors
The event was inaugurated with a lamp-lighting ceremony by Lucknow’s former Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia and the Chairperson of the Uttar Pradesh Haj Committee, Mohsin Raza, who is also a former state minister. Organizers Richa Singh and Dr. Rohit Bhadoriya welcomed and honored the chief guests with traditional shawls and mementos.

Special Honor for Martyr’s Family
The highlight of the event was the special felicitation of Mrs. Sarojini Srivastava, the mother of Martyr Captain Mukesh Srivastava, who was awarded the Sena Medal posthumously. Chief guests Mohsin Raza and Sanyukta Bhatia presented the honor, acknowledging her son’s supreme sacrifice for the nation.
Musical Tribute to Mohammed Rafi
Indian Idol fame Mohammed Imran paid a heartfelt musical tribute to legendary singer Mohammed Rafi on his 100th birth anniversary, performing some of his iconic songs to commemorate the occasion.
