New Delhi: The Union Cabinet has approved a series of measures covering agriculture, renewable energy and urban mobility, including higher Minimum Support Prices (MSP) for Rabi crops for the 2027-28 marketing season and the third phase of the Green Energy Corridor. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved higher MSPs for all mandated Rabi crops. The increase ranges from ₹25 per quintal for wheat to ₹675 for safflower. Mumbai: A severe rainfall deficit has pushed parts of Maharashtra’s Marathwada region into a deepening agricultural crisis, with around 80% of kharif crops reportedly damaged in several areas and water levels in reservoirs falling sharply.
