Feather in Anurag Kashyap’s cap

Mumbai: Anurag Kashyap, who has made films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Manmarziyaan’, ‘Kennedy’ and others, is in a lot of discussions about his upcoming film ‘Little Thomas’. The world premiere of this film is going to be held at the Indian Film Festival (IIFM) in Melbourne.

Gulshan Devaiah and Rasika Duggal are in the lead roles in ‘Little Thomas’. Kaushal Oza is the director of the film. This is his first film as a feature film director. He has won the National Film Award twice for his short films ‘Afterglow’ and ‘Vaishnav Jan To’.

Talking about the film, Anurag said, “I saw Kaushal’s short film ‘The Miniaturist of Junagadh’, which I liked very much. Then I read the script of ‘Little Thomas’ and understood his vision for it.”

The film also stars child actor Hridayansh Parekh. Set in Goa in the 1990s, it is the story of Thomas, the only child of his parents who wants a younger brother. The film also stars Ninad Pandit and Mahabanoo Modi-Kotwal and will be screened at a festival before being released in cinemas in India. ‘Little Thomas’ is produced by Luminoso Pictures, Civic Studios, Flip Films and Good Bad Films.
