Discussions on stress management, emotional well-being, and positive living take center stage at FICCI FLO Lucknow’s ‘Rise Above’ dialogue; over 600 people participate.
Lucknow — Inner strength, positive thinking, and self-reflection are the foundations for overcoming life’s challenges and moving toward a better future. It is only when an individual initiates change from within that a genuine transformation becomes visible in their thoughts, behavior, and life. Renowned spiritual guide and speaker, Sister BK Shivani, shared these insights during a special dialogue titled ‘Rise Above: A Dialogue on Inner Strength,’ organized by FICCI FLO Lucknow.

In her address, Sister BK Shivani discussed mental health, stress management, and emotional healing. She also shared practical meditation techniques for leading a peaceful life.
Held at Lucknow Public College in Vinamra Khand, Gomti Nagar, under the leadership of FICCI FLO Lucknow Chairperson Simran Sahni, the event saw the participation of over 600 individuals. The significant presence of women entrepreneurs, FLO members, professionals, educators, students, and citizens of the city underscored a growing awareness regarding inner empowerment and mental health.
Sister BK Shivani—a Rajyoga meditation teacher associated with the Brahma Kumaris and a recipient of the ‘Nari Shakti Puraskar’—offered practical strategies for navigating the pressures, stress, and emotional challenges of daily life. Emphasizing the importance of self-reflection, mental stability, clarity of thought, and emotional balance, she encouraged participants to look within and focus on refining their own responses to circumstances, rather than focusing on the circumstances themselves. They highlighted that inner peace and a positive outlook make an individual more self-confident, sensitive, and capable of making sound decisions.

Experts from the medical field also shed light on various comprehensive aspects of health during the event. Dr. Mayank Somani, MD and CEO of Apollomedics Super Speciality Hospitals, Lucknow, and Dr. Harit Chaturvedi, CEO and Clinical Head of the Oncology Network at Apollo Hospitals Group, discussed the profound connection between mental and physical well-being. They emphasized the need for a balanced lifestyle, health consciousness, and a holistic approach to wellness.
The event was attended by Swati Verma, National Expert Head of FICCI FLO, and Vibha Agrawal, a former Chairperson. From the FICCI FLO Lucknow executive committee, Senior Vice Chair Devanshi Seth, Vice Chair Nivedita Singh, Secretary Pragya Agrawal, and Joint Treasurer Vasudha Jain were also present. The discussion was moderated by Jyoti Diwan.
The event was supported by Apollomedics Super Speciality Hospitals, while Lucknow Public Schools and Colleges served as the venue partner.
This initiative by FICCI FLO Lucknow highlighted the broader meaning of women’s empowerment. The core message of the event was clear: true progress is defined not only by economic self-reliance and professional achievements but also by mental resilience, emotional balance, and personal well-being. By recognizing their inner strength, individuals can not only face challenges more effectively but also move toward making informed decisions and leading a balanced, positive life.
