Second Navodaya Retired Teachers and Employees Felicitation Ceremony to Be Held on September 13

Lucknow: The second Navodaya Vidyalaya Retired Teachers and Employees Felicitation Ceremony–2026 will be organised on September 13 at Hotel Damson Plum, Sushant Golf City, Lucknow. Details of the event were shared during a press conference organised by the Navodaya Parivar at the Press Club, Lucknow.

Members of the organising committee said more than 200 retired Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, principals, PGT and TGT teachers and employees associated with Navodaya Vidyalayas across the country would be felicitated during the ceremony. The event will begin at 10 am.

More than 300 former Navodaya students who are making notable contributions in India and abroad are also expected to attend. The gathering will include alumni working in administrative and police services, education, medicine, engineering, social service, business, arts and literature.

Among those invited are Prem Kumar Gautam, IG, ATS, Uttar Pradesh; Ranvir Prasad, IAS, Principal Secretary, Food and Logistics Department; Suryapal Gangwar, IAS, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh; Rajshekhar Reddy, IAS, Secretary, Planning Department; Bablu Kumar, IPS, DIG/Joint Commissioner, Law and Order, Lucknow; Prashant Kumar, IAS, Commissioner and Registrar, Cooperative Department; Jag Pravesh, IAS, Special Secretary, Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department; Amol Mukut, IPS, ADCP, East Zone, Lucknow; and several other senior officials and professionals.

The list also includes medical professionals such as Dr Virendra Prasad of KGMU and Dr Madhusudan Mishra, Assistant Professor in the Orthopaedics Department at KGMU, as well as professionals from the corporate and business sectors, including Ravindra Dev Upadhyay, Vice-President, Marketing, PepsiCo, Uttar Pradesh; Shrikant Mishra, Director, Amravati Group, Lucknow; Vivek Tiwari, Managing Director, Satya MicroCapital Limited; and Arvind Kumar of Navodayan Growth Private Limited.

Members of the Navodaya Parivar present at the press conference included Ved Prakash Rai, Anil Deep Anand, Pragya Pandey, Shrikant Mishra, Prof Rajshree Pandey, Harishankar Gupta, Avinash Choubey, Dr Nitya Verma and Dr Anurag Mishra, among other alumni.

The organisers said Navodaya Vidyalayas provide seven years of completely free residential education that goes beyond academics. A disciplined lifestyle, collective living, strong bonds among students and guidance from teachers contribute to the holistic development of students. As a result, Navodaya alumni have established themselves in diverse fields in India and across the world.

The primary objective of the felicitation ceremony is to express gratitude to teachers and employees who have shaped the lives of thousands of students through their knowledge, values, discipline, affection and guidance. The organisers said the event seeks to strengthen the enduring guru-shishya tradition and the sense of family that have become distinctive features of the Navodaya community.
