Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will organise a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17, 2026, to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public life.
The campaign will focus on public service, healthcare, cleanliness, environmental conservation, blood donation, social participation and nation-building. The state government plans to take the initiative beyond district headquarters and organise programmes across villages, gram panchayats, nyaya panchayats, urban areas and major cities.

Higher Education Minister Yogendra Upadhyay has been appointed the Uttar Pradesh in-charge for the campaign.
Campaign to begin with ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’
The campaign will begin on September 17, Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, with the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme. Events will be organised with public participation across rural and urban areas.
Artificial limbs and assistive devices will also be distributed to persons with disabilities as part of the opening-day activities.
The month-long campaign will feature programmes such as ‘Karodon Bachchon Ke Sapnon Ka Bharat’, ‘Namo Seva Gatha’, ‘Aangan Ka Utsav’, ‘Kahani Badlav Ki’, ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’, ‘Vadnagar Se Varanasi Yatra’, ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, ‘Ghar-Ghar Se Rashtra Tak Rangoli’, ‘Innovation Challenge’ and ‘Janseva Mahakumbh’.
The government intends to use these programmes to showcase various aspects of public service and encourage citizens, particularly young people, to participate in nation-building initiatives.
Cleanliness, plantation and blood donation drives
Under ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, cleanliness and plantation drives will be organised throughout Uttar Pradesh. Special attention will be given to the cleaning and beautification of ghats, parks and gaushalas.
Blood donation camps will also be organised at different locations. Health-focused ‘Arogya Melas’ will provide health check-ups, medical consultations and essential medicines to people.

The campaign will also include activities focused on children, youth and innovation, with the objective of encouraging the younger generation to contribute to social development.
Through ‘Namo Seva Gatha’, people will be introduced to different aspects of Prime Minister Modi’s 25 years in public life, along with welfare initiatives and changes in various sectors during this period.
‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ across all districts on October 7
One of the key events of the campaign will take place on October 7, when a ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ will be organised in every district of Uttar Pradesh.
The programme will seek to encourage citizens to collectively pledge their participation in the goal of building a developed India. Large screens will also be installed at various locations for the live broadcast of Prime Minister Modi’s address.
Government departments to be assigned responsibilities
Preparations for the statewide campaign have already begun, with the government planning to assign specific responsibilities to various departments.
Campaign in-charge Yogendra Upadhyay is expected to hold meetings with officials from the concerned departments to finalise the programme schedule and departmental responsibilities. The government plans to coordinate activities across rural and urban areas to ensure broad public participation.
The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is being positioned as more than a series of government events, with the Yogi government seeking to use the month-long campaign to promote public service, social participation and the collective vision of ‘Viksit Bharat-2047’ across Uttar Pradesh.
