Devipatan Division Tops State Rankings on IGRS Portal Once Again
Scores 94.55% in July, extends its lead at the top to five straight months

Achievement credited to Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal’s close monitoring; direct calls to complainants and the “Sandhya Samvad” and “Maa Pateshwari Shakti Samvad” initiatives cited as key to the success
GONDA: The Devipatan Division has once again topped the state on the Uttar Pradesh government’s Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal, showcasing its efficiency for yet another month. In the rankings released for July 2026, the division scored 104 out of 110 points — a success rate of 94.55 percent — reflecting what officials describe as the divisional administration’s sustained commitment to resolving public grievances in a quality, transparent and timely manner.
Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal said grievances received on IGRS across all four districts of the division — Shravasti, Bahraich, Gonda and Balrampur — are reviewed regularly and in depth. Review meetings are held with officers every month to assess pending cases, the quality of resolutions, and whether complainants are actually satisfied with the outcome.

Merely disposing of a complaint isn’t enough, she said — what matters is making sure the complainant actually receives justice. With that in mind, she personally calls five randomly selected complainants every month to get direct feedback, asking whether their problem was genuinely resolved. Wherever a case turns out to have been closed only on paper, without real resolution, the officers responsible are held accountable. This system, she said, has led to a marked improvement in transparency, accountability and quality in how complaints are handled.
The Commissioner also credited the “Maa Pateshwari Shakti Samvad” initiative — set up to fast-track resolution of complaints from women and girls — as an important factor behind the IGRS success. Through this dedicated channel, women’s grievances are heard regularly and resolved quickly and effectively, which has, in turn, strengthened women complainants’ trust in the administration.
Public Grievances Prioritised Under Commissioner’s “Sandhya Samvad” Programme
The division’s strong showing is not limited to July — it has held a top-ranking position in the state for five consecutive months. Devipatan ranked first in March 2026, first again in April, second in May, and then reclaimed the top spot in both June and July 2026 — a run of consistent, high-level performance that officials say sets a new benchmark.
Divisional Commissioner Durga Shakti Nagpal credited the achievement to the teamwork and responsible approach of departmental officers and staff involved in grievance redressal. She said timely, impartial and quality resolution of complaints would continue to remain a top priority going forward, so that the general public can draw full benefit from government schemes and services, and public trust in the administration is strengthened further.
