Lucknow: The city’s medical fraternity is gearing up for an exciting blend of sportsmanship and camaraderie as leading sports and event management organization Raven Rows officially launched the second season of the Doctors Cricket League (DCL). The announcement was made during a grand Captains’ Meet held at Eldeco Trinity, Lucknow.
The event brought together team captains from participating hospitals, senior doctors, organizers, sponsors, and prominent members of the healthcare community. During the meeting, the official group allocations and match draw for the tournament were finalized, setting the stage for four days of competitive cricket.
Doctors Cricket League Season 2 will be held from June 11 to June 14, 2026, at Sage Cricket Ground in Lucknow. Teams representing some of the city’s leading hospitals and healthcare institutions will compete for the championship title.
The tournament will begin with an opening clash between Divine Hospital and SGPGI on June 11, promising an exciting start to the competition. One of the highlights of the launch event was the unveiling of the league trophy and the official jerseys of all participating teams, generating considerable enthusiasm among players and guests.
Organizers stated that the league aims to promote fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and stronger professional bonds among doctors. The initiative also seeks to encourage a healthy lifestyle and stress management within the medical community, whose members often work under demanding schedules.
A total of sixteen teams have been divided into four groups. Group A comprises SGPGI, Divine Hospital, KGMU, and SUBH. Group B features Max Hospital, Welsun Warriors, Health City, and the Media Team. Group C includes Tender Palm, HIMS, SKD, and Shekhar, while Group D consists of Wellson Hospital, Sun Eye Hospital, Sanier, and Medanta.
The tournament has received strong support from several reputed institutions and brands. Eldeco has come on board as the Title Sponsor, while Floret Town (FB Group) is the Powered By Partner. V6 Fingro LLP and BMW Speed Motorwagon are serving as Co-Powered By Partners. Associate sponsors include Clear Water, Canon, Instax by Fuji, and Sharda Solar (Nirman Enterprises).
