Admissions Underway for Engineering, Diploma and Postgraduate Programmes at Rohilkhand University’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology

Bareilly: The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University has announced that the admission process for various undergraduate, diploma, and postgraduate programmes for the academic session 2026–27 is currently underway. The university administration has appealed to students and parents to complete the registration process in time and take advantage of the institution’s quality technical and higher education opportunities.

In a special interaction, Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh stated that online registration for B.Tech and diploma programmes is already in progress. He also highlighted that diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates are eligible for direct admission to the second year of B.Tech through the lateral entry system, enabling them to obtain advanced technical qualifications in a shorter period and enhance their career prospects.

Prof. Singh further informed that online registration for postgraduate programmes, including MCA, M.Tech, and M.Sc., commenced on June 1, 2026, through the Samarth admission portal.

All programmes offered by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology are approved by AICTE and are supported by experienced faculty members, modern laboratories, smart classrooms, and an industry-oriented teaching approach. The university also places strong emphasis on training and placement activities, connecting students with reputed companies and industries to improve employability and career outcomes.

Wide Range of B.Tech Programmes

Admissions are available in B.Tech programmes across several engineering disciplines, including Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.

A major addition this year is the launch of the B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence (AI) programme. Introduced in response to the growing demand for emerging technologies, the course is expected to provide students with enhanced employment opportunities in the rapidly evolving technology sector.

The Vice-Chancellor noted that engineering education today not only opens doors to employment but also encourages students to pursue research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological leadership.

Lateral Entry Offers Faster Path to Engineering Degrees

The university has invited diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates to take advantage of the lateral entry scheme, which allows eligible students to secure direct admission to the second year of B.Tech programmes. This pathway enables students to complete their engineering education more efficiently while expanding their career options.

Diploma Programmes for Students After Class 10

The Faculty is also accepting registrations for three-year diploma programmes in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.

These programmes provide Class 10 graduates with a strong foundation in technical education and practical skills, preparing them for both employment and further studies.

Postgraduate Programmes Open New Avenues for Specialisation

The university has opened admissions for several postgraduate programmes designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and specialized skills.

M.Tech programmes are available in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Thermal Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. These courses focus on advanced technical expertise, research, and industry-oriented specialization.

The Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme is aimed at students seeking careers in software development, cybersecurity, data science, artificial intelligence, and the broader information technology sector.

M.Sc. Programmes in Science Disciplines

Registration for M.Sc. programmes in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics has also begun through the Samarth portal. These programmes offer students opportunities to pursue higher education and research in scientific disciplines.

According to university officials, M.Sc. Physics opens pathways in research, energy studies, electronics, space science, and technological innovation. M.Sc. Chemistry provides strong career prospects in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, food technology, and industrial research, while M.Sc. Mathematics offers opportunities in teaching, research, data science, banking, analytics, and competitive examinations.

Prof. Singh emphasized that in today’s competitive environment, undergraduate education alone is often insufficient, and specialized higher education can significantly enhance career opportunities and professional growth.

The university administration has urged aspiring students to register at the earliest and take advantage of the institution’s academic infrastructure, experienced faculty, and career-oriented programmes to build a successful future.
