Lucknow: The Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), University of Lucknow, organized a special lecture titled “Mental Health Matters: Breaking the Stigma and Promoting Understanding” in the IMS seminar hall. The program was held under the mentorship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. J.P. Saini and Prof. Vinita Kacher, OSD, IMS.
The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by a warm welcome from Prof. Vinita Kacher to the guest speaker, Prof. Madhurima Pradhan, former Head of the Department of Psychology, University of Lucknow. Prof. Pradhan addressed the importance of mental health and shared practical strategies to improve it, emphasizing the benefits of meditation and positive thinking.
Faculty members and students of IMS actively participated in the session, engaging with the discussion on mental well-being. The program was coordinated by Dr. Jolly Rastogi, ensuring a smooth and impactful event.
