The marathon brought together celebrities and the public, serving as a fundraiser for paediatric heart surgeries
Mumbai: Renowned film producer Anand Pandit leads from the front in the Juhu Half Marathon, held on Sunday (March 1), with celebrities and the general public rallying behind the noble cause of the event. The Marathon, which witnessed participation from over 6,000 registered runners, served as a fundraiser for life-saving paediatric heart surgeries. Held at the JVPD Ground, Juhu, it carried the powerful tagline “Keep your heart fit and let another heart beat”, reinforcing its focus on fitness with purpose.
The event, which began at 5.30 am, was also noted for the presence of popular faces from Indian cinema. This included Sunny Leone along with her husband Daniel Weber, Jackie Shroff, Neetu Chandra, Rajat Bedi, Ruhi Singh Choreographer Ahmed Khan, Pushkar Jog among others. The Marathon featured three race categories – 21 km, 10 km and 4 km – welcoming participants to test varying endurance levels and to be a successful part of the movement.
Meanwhile, for Anand Pandit, who is widely regarded as one of the fittest among the Bollywood as well as business fraternity, the run was an extension of his long-standing commitment to fitness and social responsibility. “Marathons and their successful completion define immense dedication, perseverance and the spirit to pursue personal excellence. It is not about winning the run, but about finishing the distance. That means the goal is important. The objective of this year’s marathon was a noble cause, that is to raise awareness and funds for life-saving paediatric heart surgeries,” says Pandit.

He added that by becoming a part of this cause, not only himself, but all his colleagues and people from Juhu and the neighbourhood have lent support to that objective. “We know that meaningful change takes shape when influence, discipline and collective action align with purpose. The purpose here was the key, and I am happy to contribute to it,” added Pandit.
The Juhu Half Marathon was presented by Lotus Developers in association with the Get Fit Through Sports Foundation and the Rotary Club of Bombay Airport.
