Lucknow: In a swift breakthrough, Lucknow Police have solved the murder case of a young man within 12 hours and arrested three accused in connection with the crime. The incident took place in the Mohanlalganj police station area, where the blood-soaked body of a youth was found near the Badi Nahar (major canal).
The deceased was identified as Almas, a resident of Mau village on Jail Road. Almas had been missing for some time, following which his father lodged a missing person’s complaint at Mohanlalganj police station. Upon recovery of the body, family members confirmed his identity.

Addressing the media, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Nipun Agrawal said that three accused — Ramzan, Arman, and Suraj Rawat — have been arrested in the case. He revealed that the murder was the result of personal enmity and a pre-planned act of revenge.
According to the police, Ramzan was in one-sided love with Almas’s niece. Disturbed by Ramzan’s behavior, the girl complained to Almas. Around 20 days ago, Almas confronted Ramzan and allegedly assaulted him. Nursing a grudge over the incident, Ramzan decided to eliminate Almas and conspired with his associates Arman and Suraj.
DCP Agrawal stated that Ramzan called Almas to his shop in Mohanlalganj under the pretext of a party. Ramzan and Arman, who are butchers by profession, run a shop in the area. When Almas reached the shop, Arman and Suraj Rawat were already present.

The three accused then took Almas to the canal site. There, Ramzan struck Almas on the head, causing him to lose consciousness. After he collapsed, the accused brutally assaulted him with sticks, leading to his death. The body was later dumped near the canal to mislead the investigation.
Acting swiftly on technical surveillance, local intelligence, and eyewitness inputs, the police team traced the accused and arrested all three within 12 hours of the body being discovered.
The police have recovered key evidence and initiated further legal proceedings. DCP Nipun Agrawal praised the police team for their prompt action and assured that strict action will be taken against those involved in the crime.
