Lucknow: The 3 UP Naval Unit NCC celebrated Navy Day 2025 on Thursday at Boat Pool, paying tribute to the courage, dedication, and maritime excellence of the Indian Navy. The event was marked by a strong sense of national pride and patriotism.
The ceremony was dedicated to the Indian Navy’s decisive victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak War and the historic Operation Trident, which showcased India’s naval supremacy.
Commander Sumit Ghosh (Retd.), a distinguished submariner and veteran of Operation Vijay and Operation Parakram, graced the programme as the Chief Guest.
The event also witnessed the presence of Brigadier Puneet Srivastava, Group Commander, NCC Group Headquarters, and Commander Gaurav Shukla, Commanding Officer, 3 UP Naval Unit NCC, as special guests.

A variety of cultural performances by NCC cadets became the highlight of the celebration. Through speeches, poetry recitations, solo and group dance performances, and patriotic musical presentations, the cadets showcased their talent while expressing deep respect for the Indian Navy and the spirit of NCC.
The programme concluded with a salute to the naval heroes whose bravery continues to inspire young cadets across the nation.
