Samastipur – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch his Bihar Assembly Election 2025 campaign from the ancestral village of the late Karpoori Thakur in Samastipur district. Scheduled for October 24, the rally will see PM Modi presenting his development plan to the public, marking the first time a sitting Indian Prime Minister addresses a political rally from Karpoori Thakur’s native village. The visit has generated excitement and high expectations among local residents.
Extensive preparations have been made across the district, with administrative staff and NDA coalition workers working to ensure a smooth and historic event. The Special Protection Group (SPG), in coordination with senior police and administrative officials, has conducted detailed inspections of the venue at Dudhpur Airport grounds. Multi-layered security arrangements have been implemented, including cordoning off the surrounding areas.
Approximately forty senior IAS and IPS officers have been deployed in Samastipur, along with hundreds of police personnel and Central Paramilitary Forces. Three temporary helipads have been constructed near the rally site and GKPD College campus, one for the Prime Minister’s landing and the others for SPG and other security units.

PM Modi will begin his visit at Karpoori Gram, paying tribute to the former leader by garlanding his statue at Smriti Bhawan. He will then proceed to the Dudhpur rally site via road or helicopter to address the public, after which he will depart for Begusarai. Additional police forces from Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Begusarai, and Khagaria have been mobilized, with central security units monitoring the event to ensure maximum safety.
The rally is expected to give a fresh momentum to the NDA’s election campaign in Bihar.
