Dr. Neeta Nair, Lead Consultant in Breast-Robotic Surgery, explained that this innovative technique aims to completely remove the cancer while preserving the natural appearance of the breast. Using minimal incisions to extract the tumor, the procedure results in subtle scarring, faster recovery, and sustained patient confidence.
Compared to traditional open surgery, robotic mastectomy causes less tissue and blood loss, reduces pain, and immediate reconstruction mitigates the psychological impact of breast loss.
