Lucknow: The 43rd All India K.D. Singh ‘Babu’ Memorial Prize Money Men’s Hockey Tournament officially began at the Padma Shri Mohd. Shahid Synthetic Hockey Stadium in Vijayant Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow. This prestigious tournament is scheduled from September 20 to September 28, 2025. The opening provided spectators with the opportunity to witness thrilling matches. The tournament was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Girish Chandra Yadav, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Sports and Youth Welfare.

Match 1: Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) vs. Income Tax Ahmedabad (ITA) Final Score: PSPB 4 – 2 ITA

The first match was played between Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) and Income Tax Ahmedabad. The PSPB team started with great momentum. Talwinder Singh and Harjeet Singh scored splendid field goals, while Gurjinder Singh and Mandeep Antil further strengthened the lead. For ITA, Suraj Bijawad and Bachan Kalappa scored, but it wasn’t enough, and PSPB secured a 4-2 victory.
Match 2: CTC Mumbai vs. Punjab & Sind Bank (PSB) Final Score: CTC 1 – 1 PSB
This pool-C match ended in a tough draw. Tej Chavan gave CTC the lead with a field goal in the 22nd minute. Shahid Thakur of Punjab & Sind Bank leveled the score in the 30th minute, making the match even more exciting. Both teams fought hard in the second half, but neither could gain an advantage.
